Really great visuals with color gradients to show the loading changes along a branch and into parent limb or trunk. This is great for visuals to use in teaching why to choose certain branches as better to prune off, or reduction prune, versus branches with better attachment to keep in future canopy.

Pototrophism plays an important role with regards to branch formation and development. Landscape designers and street tree shade commissions do not seem to take phototrophism into consideration very often when they are planting shade trees.
